GENECIS was developed in partnership with the Sickle Cell Foundation of Ghana (SCFG), and the Human Genetics Departments of the University of Cape Town and the University of the Witwatersrand. The Ghana Psychology Council has accredited the course for 20 Credits.<\/p><p>GENECIS will equip participants with basic knowledge in genetics, genetic education, and counselling with a focus on sickle cell disease, to improve practitioner competencies in genetic counselling. It is targeted at a wide spectrum of practitioners including Allied Health Professionals, Clinical Psychologists, Midwives, Nurses, and Physician Assistants.
